- Boone County Landmarks Preservation, Inc. - meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Lebanon Public Library. "Working to save our historic structures."
- Community Bingo the 4th Tuesday of each month at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome. Refreshments and prizes for all. Games begin at 2:30 pm.

- Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. - The Boone County Bluebird Society will have their fall meeting at 7:00 PM in the Boone REMC Community Room (1207 Indianapolis Ave., Lebanon). They will be discussing the bluebird season of 2005, plans for next year, and other winter birdwatching topics. Anyone interested in bluebirds is welcome to attend.

- Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new Boone County Senior Services, Inc. (BCSSI) building at 2:00 pm at 610 West CrownPointe Drive in Lebanon (just east of CrownPointe Senior Living Community). Everyone is invited to come and celebrate the culmination of five years of planning for the new facility. - The Sugar Creek Historical Society will hold its Annual Meeting at 6:30 pm in the public meeting room of the Thorntown Public Library. The meeting is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend to learn about the mission of the SCHS and events past and projected for the coming year. For the second year, Gene and Peggy Poe will provide their tasty chili, ham & beans, and cornbread, along with beverages. Guests are invited to bring a side dish or dessert for the meal. Service and beverages will be available. Singer, songwriter, and historian Kevin Stonerock (www.kevinstonerock.com) will be the featured entertainment. - Whitestown Lions Club is hosting the Annual American Legion Turkey Shoot at Lions Park in Whitestown.
- Tri Kappa hosts the 21st Annual Holiday Bazaar from 9am-3pm at Lebanon High School. There will be a variety of vendors with a range of lovely items to purchase. There is a $1 admission fee at the door which will enter the public into a door prize drawing which will take place throughout the day. Tri Kappa will also offer food service that day: coney dogs, soup, desserts and drinks. All proceeds go to the philanthropic projects of the Lebanon Alpha Beta chapter of Tri Kappa. - The Sterling Girl Scouts (Lebanon and Western Boone area) host an "Indoor Drive-In" for registered Girl Scouts from 1 - 4:30 pm at the Keith Campbell Community Building (old Stokes School) in Lebanon. The event will benefit the local Shop With A Cop program. The double-feature will include the cartoon version of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and "The Santa Clause." A $5 donation per girl will be collected at the door. This event is open to registered Girl Scouts only. Those girl scouts who attend must be accompanied by an adult. - Benefit Dinner to Raise Funds for Medical Costs for Debbie Summers from 5-7 pm at the at First Community Church (701 N. Lebanon St) in Lebanon. Homemade Soup, bread, appetizers and dessert for your donation to help pay $60,000 in medical bills incurred by former Thorntown resident, Debbie Summers. Debbie is now a missionary serving at Grace Adoption Home in Haiti. Struck earlier this year with a lung infection that nearly took her life she spent 14 days on a respirator. All proceeds go toward medical bills.

- Boone County Extension Homemakers Annual Holiday Workshop “A Time to Give” from 7 to 9 pm in the auditorium of the 4-H Fairgrounds Community Building in Lebanon. The evening will include demonstrations on centerpieces for the holidays, wire angel pins, fabric decoupage glass plates and a "make it and take it" stamped gift bag and tag. A refreshment buffet will be available. Participants will receive a booklet of recipes and holiday hints and crafts. Cost of the event is $4. The workshop is open to the public. Those attending are asked to bring personal items for the hurricane victims; personal hygiene items, toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Reservations for the workshop are requireddeadline is Friday, October 28th. - Whitestown Lions Club is hosting the Annual American Legion Turkey Shoot at Lions Park in Whitestown.
- CPR for the Healthcare Provider sponsored by the Boone County Family YMCA. Class will meet at the YMCA (1025 N. Jameson Street, Lebanon) from 9 - 11am. This program covers professional level emergency cardiac care including specialized training on cricoid pressure procedures, bag valve mask use and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification. This class is recommended for any healthcare worker or workplace personnel that would be responsible for providing a victim with advance life support. This class is instructed by Health Emergency and Lifecare Programs under the direction of the American Safety and Health Institute. Fee: $40. Please contact

- "Saddle Up for St. Jude's Kids" Equestrian Trail Ride from Thorntown to Hazelrigg/Lebanon. This event will be a fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Hospital and will also raise awareness for the Farm Heritage Trail project. The ride will be about 10 miles total. - The Annual Progressive Dinner benefitting the SullivanMunce Cultural Center from 6-11pm. It's not too late to make a reservation for the foundation's largest fund raiser of the year! Starting at a private home in horse country on the west end of Zionsville, the party moves to the new Rail Trail Greenhouse for dinner, music and silent auction. It's a great event for a worthy cause, with proceeds benefiting the operation of both facilities. Cost is $75 per person. - The International School of Indiana will hold its Eleventh Annual Travel Auction at 6:00 pm at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. Every year, the school chooses a different country for the theme of the auction, this year's being Germany. The event begins with a silent auction with hundred's of donated items, followed by traditional German food, a live auction and entertainment from the popular band Polka Boy. This annual gala is the main fundraising event for the International School of Indiana. Proceeds from the Auction benefit the school's scholarship fund. Over $570,000 in financial assistance is awarded annually to ISI students. Approximately 25% of the student body benefits from the Scholarship Fund.
