Important Announcements

  • Boone County Backpack Attack - a community-wide school supply drive through July 16, 2014. All school supplies should be new. The public can drop off school supplies at all Boone County libraries, the Lebanon Wal-Mart, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lebanon and Zionsville, The Arc of Greater Boone County, Witham Family YMCA, Akard's True Value and Marsh in Zionsville. Boone County Backpack Attack donation boxes will also be located in other businesses and organizations throughout the county. Cash donations are also accepted. Checks can be made out to United Way of Central Indiana with Boone Backpack Attack written in the memo line, and mailed to United Way of Central Indiana – 221 N. Lebanon St. Lebanon, IN 46052. All donations of school supplies and funds will be used in Boone County for Boone County students. The school supplies will be distributed at the Boone County Backpack Attack Festival on Saturday, August 2 to Boone County students who qualify for free or reduced lunch services. The Festival will be held at the Lebanon Boys and Girls Club from 9 am-11 am.
  • Clean City Initiative - The Cleanest City in Indiana, a local group working to stop litter in Lebanon, is planning a new program to help eliminate trash in the city. The committee would like input on determining which areas in Lebanon have the most litter. The feedback will help the group prioritize clean up efforts.   • Boone County Community Clinic Open for Extended Hours - The clinic is now open for extended hours from 5pm until 8pm Monday thru Thursday, and from 8am until noon on Saturdays. These after-hours times are reserved for first-come, first-serve walk-in appointments, and are open to all Boone County residents, insured and uninsured alike. The Clinic is able to bill with several local insurances, and if you are uninsured, appointments start at only $50. No appointments necessary, but certain restrictions apply, as some services must take place at scheduled appointments during regular service hours. The clinic is located at 404 W. Camp St. in Lebanon (across the street from Walgreens).   • Early Readers Club - United Way of Boone County has launched the Early Readers Club to promote childhood literacy. By registering today, your preschool child or grandchild can receive 12 high-quality books a year for just $20. Scholarships are available.
