Boone County is fortunate to have the following four school corporations serving the educational needs of our children:
Indy Reads: Boone County - Indy Reads: Boone County is the first formal program of Indy Reads outside Marion County. Indy Reads is a nationally-recognized adult literacy program. We offer free, confidential services for adults 18 and over who struggle with reading: one-on-one tutoring and support for GED classes. Tutors can meet their students at libraries in Lebanon, Zionsville, or Thorntown. We are eager to hear from prospective students and volunteer tutors. For more information, contact:

J. Everett Light Career Center - Vocational Training - administered by the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township and serves high school students and adults from eleven school corporations in northern Marion, Boone, and Hamilton counties.
