- Autism/Asperger’s Family Support Group - meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm at Centenary Methodist Church (910 Fordice Road, Lebanon). - Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans. - 10th Annual 99.5 WZPL Make-A-Wish Request-A-Thon from 6 am on November 30 to 6 pm on December 1. Listeners will have the opportunity to request ANY SONG in exchange for a $20 donation to the Foundation. Along with an entertaining mix of music, there will be many touching interviews with wish kids, families, and volunteers. - Dining to Donate at Applebee's - eat at or order curbside pickup from the Zionsville Applebee's (10325 North Michigan Road) any time on December 6, bring the attached flyer (PDF 260K) and the Youth Enhancement and Training Initiative (YETI) will receive 15% of your purchase as a donation to help fund its orphanage and underprivileged kids in Indiana!
- Donkey Basketball Game Fundraiser at 7 pm at the Thorntown Elementary School (200 Mill St., Thorntown) sponsored by the PTO/Dad's Club. Four teams will be involved including a "celebrity team." Advance tickets are $5 and are available at Thorntown Dairy Queen, State Bank of Lizton-Dover, Home National Bank, Thorntown Elementary Office, and The Farmers State Bank. Tickets will be $7 at door with children under 6 free.

- Luminary Celebration join residents and artists of the Thorntown community as they place luminaries at the Thorntown Heritage Museum, the Sugar Creek Art Center, and Unzicker Brothers Pottery Studio. Stop by for refreshments and fun, horse-drawn rides between the Museum and the Art Center, with an optional stop at Stookey’s Restaurant. The Thorntown Heritage Museum will also be collecting canned items, cleaning products, and hygiene products for the Caring Center on Friday and Saturday. Festivities and shopping will take place from 4-9pm at the Thorntown Heritage Museum on the 8th & 9th, from 6-9 at the Sugar Creek Art Center on the 8th only, and from 9-5pm at Unzicker Bros. Studio on the 9th only.

- Healing Journeys Spiritual Life Center, Inc. second of a series of three workshops on Self, Family, and Community Healing from 9 am to 5pm at St. Francis Episcopal Church (1525 Mulberry St. Zionsville). Registration deadline is Friday, December 1. Workshops are led by Dr. Pat Sheehan, internationally known Trauma and Intimacy Specialist and Cynthia Lynn-Dierdorf, Professional Spiritual Director. Second workshop will cover coping and self care: coping through deployment; coping through the holidays; compassion fatigue; the stress of caring; the importance of self care. Veterans, their families, friends, community leaders, clergy, chaplains, educators, mental health professionals, etc. are invited. Cost is $35 per person/per workshop. - Victorian Christmas Open House from 5 to 9pm at the Cragun House (404 W. Main Street, Lebanon) hosted by the Boone County Historical Society. Step back in time during this holiday season. Come experience the beauty of the Cragun House decorated for Christmas. Refreshments will be served. On hand to fill the home with the sounds of the season will be the Madrigal Singers and Lebanon Presbyterian Church Bell Choir on Saturday, December 16th, and a pianist on Sunday, December 17th. Cost for the open house is $5 per person. Children are free but must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, please contact BCHS Board Member, Judy Walburn at 765-482-0870.
- Jamestown Home and Business Decorating Contest - Judging takes place at 7 pm and is sponsored by the Greater Jamestown Area Fund. Homes will be judged on outside decorations and businesses on outside and window decorations. Judges will be from out of town. There will be 3 prizes in each category. Winners will be notified as soon as possible and will be announced in the town newsletter and area newspapers. Questions may be directed to Sue Henry at 765-676-5723.

- Holiday Celebration at Thorntown Heritage Museum - Local jazz ensemble Tat’s Catz will make a special holiday appearance at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 W Main St., Thorntown) from 6:30-9 pm. Entry fee for the evening is a donation of canned goods, cleaning, and hygiene products for the Caring Center. The new cookbook "From Your Neighbor’s Table" ($8), holiday flowers and special pricing on select items for the evening will be available. Amaryllis in holiday colors will be available for $10 and narcissus (paperwhites) at $14. Additionally, guests may participate in a local history scavenger hunt for prizes of publications, honey, and Unzicker Bros. Pottery. Stop by the Museum, have some refreshments, and kick back with the band. Do something nice for yourself and for the Caring Center. The event is free and open to the public.
