Lori Antony, a volunteer with the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, will present on the work being done in Indiana to give big cats a second chance. The center is home to over 210 cats, including tigers, lions, cougars, leopards, bobcats, ocelots, servals, and a lynx. Hear some stories as to how some of these big cats have made EFRC their home and see amazing photos and even a tiger whisker! Registration recommended. - Animal Planet Movie Presentation Great Plains, Jungles and Shallow Seas from 2 – 4 pm
at Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library (250 N. Fifth St., Zionsville).
Watch on the big screen the immense wilderness of the Great Plains as the eagles, wolves and lions close in on the gazelles, caribou and wildebeest. Then in the jungles, enter the forest floor and move through the layers of vegetation and across the canopy. And end with a tour of the tropical coral paradises where a humpback whale and mother and calf take an epic journey. Reservations appreciated.

- Join the Find the Cure Cancer Prevention Study (part of the Zionsville Relay for Life) from 5 to 9 pm at Lions Park in Zionsville. The American Cancer Society is looking for half a million adults in the U.S. who want to make a direct impact in the fight against cancer. The Cancer Prevention Study-3 will pave the way for the next generation of cancer research. The Zionsville Relay For Life, sponsored by St.Vincent Health, has been selected as one of a limited number of events nationwide where interested and eligible participants can enroll into this lifesaving study. In order to qualify, participants must: be willing to make a 20-30 year commitment, be 30 to 65 years of age, never been diagnosed with cancer. This is a chance to help eliminate cancer as a major health concern for future generations, but it won't happen without your help. - Second Annual Red, White and Blues! from 6-9 pm on the east side of the Boone County Courthouse square in beautiful downtown Lebanon. Hosted by Lebanon Vitalization Inc. and the Lebanon Community Arts Council, this outdoor event is an elegant and fun combination of wine tasting, local organizational booths, and the featured music of the Sugar Creek Big Band, offering an opportunity for swing dancing or relaxed listening. - 2010 Skeet Thompson Memorial Golf Outing from 11:30 am - 5:00 pm at Eagle Creek Golf Course (8802 W. 56th Street, Indianapolis, IN). Know the 10 Signs provides attendees with an understanding of the difference between age-related memory loss and Alzheimer s and what to do if they or someone they know has signs of the disease. - The Civil War Roundtable meeting at at 6:30 pm in the Ralph W. Stark Heritage Center at the Lebanon Public Library (104 E. Washington St. Lebanon, IN 46052). Speaking to the group will be IUPUI Associate University Archivist Stephen Towne. Mr. Towne is also a historian of the Civil War who has written several articles for journals and is currently working on a book about political and military intelligence during the Civil War. - Rescheduled Relay for Life Luminaria Ceremony at Lions Park in Zionsville. Timeline: beginning at 2pm in the basement of Lions Clubhouse, volunteers will begin the process of getting the luminarias out with the help of the Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana Oustanding Teen contestants, Zionsville Boys & Girls Club, Girl Scouts of Zionsville and anyone else who can help! Starting at 6pm volunteers will put out luminarias once folks are set up on Main Street (the rescheduled ceremony is being held in conjunction with theBrick Street Gallery Walk), at 8:30pm volunteers will begin lighting the 4500 luminarias in the park. At 10pm the Luminaria Ceremony will take place at the gazebo at Lions Park. At 11pm-ish (give or take depending on the amount of people in the park), volunteers will begin clean up of the luminarias in the park and on Main Street.

- Kenworthy Reading Camp 2010 from 1 - 3:30 pm at Lebanon Public Library (104 E. Washington St. Lebanon, IN 46052). The goal of reading camp is to show that reading is interactive and a lot of fun! Each camper will receive a book at each session attended. Snacks and entertainment are also provided. Registration is free. The camp is open to children going into grades 1 - 4, applications available at the Children's Circulation Desk. Camp Counselors must be at least 13 by June 1st to be able to help. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out an application available at the Adult Circulation Desk. All volunteers will attend a training session on Monday, June 21st at 3 pm. If you can help out, please apply today at the Lebanon Public Library. Accepting camper & counselor registrations through June 18 for the camp.
