- Jackson Township Historical Society and the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department Annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast from 7:30-10:30 am at the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department Station. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 4-12. Children 3 years and younger are free. Pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, milk, juice, and coffee will be offered. Bruce Scott, a native of Jamestown will be on hand to sign copies of his book "INDY: Racing Before the 500". Money raised will help the historical society with the continuing renovation of the Jamestown Press Building and the fire department to buy equipment.

- American Indian Council 23rd Annual Traditional Powwow at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds (Lebanon, Indiana). Gates open at 10:00 am each day with Grand Entry at 1:30 and 7:00 pm on Saturday and 1:00 Sunday. Tickets: adults, $6, children 6-12 $2, weekend pass $10. On Sunday, the 19th Annual John Deer Craft Contest. Deadline to check in entries is 11:00 am Sunday.
- Children's Day in the Park from 11am-5pm (walk starts at noon) at Lebanon Memorial Park. $15 per person, children 12 & under are $7. Children accompanied by parent(s) receive one family 10-punch card pool pass valid in 2006 (one card per family). Price includes registration for walk, all the Papa John's pizza you can eat, free pool admission. There will also be Papa John's giveaways (tattoos, frisbee's and discount coupons). The event is a fundraiser for the Children's Memorial Monument. Anyone wishing to participate in the event must pre-register & pre-pay at the Lebanon Memorial Park Office. - 2005 New Girl Scout Registration Carnival at the Keith Campbell Community Building (former Stokes Elementary) from 2- 4 pm. (Current Girl Scout members do not need to attend this registration event.) Sterling Girl Scouts invites girls in kindergarten through 12th grade to attend. Girl Scouts is a movement that provides the opportunity for girls to develop a sense of value and self-worth. And it is unique in its commitment to bringing out the BEST in each and every girl! New Girl Scout members will be placed in an existing troop where they will make new friends and participate in many differnt skill-building activities. They will also have the opportunity to attend summer camps and participate in the annual Cookie Sale!

- Concert by the Indianapolis based group-1000 generations at the New Hope Christian Church at 7 pm. Stylistically, 1000 generations has a piano-driven, world-influenced pop sound often compared to that of Paul Simon, Michael W. Smith and Peter Gabriel. If you were able to see them at the State Fair, you'll want to see them again in a more intimate setting. They have a unique way of putting art to their music to appeal to all audiences. Tickets are $5 at the door with all proceeds going towards missions. New Hope Christian Church is located just 1 mile NE of the I-65 & SR #334 interchange.

- Younglife of Lebanon & Western Boone Rummage Sale - first annual sale will be held from 8am to 3pm at the Smith’s Farm House on S.R. 32, just 6.2 miles east of Lebanon (or 2.6 miles west on Hwy 32 from Hwy 421). While we’ve got a great many treasures already, we would love to have more! Donations will be welcomed the week prior, and we can arrange for pick up of large items. - The Visual Fringe 2005 is a 26-piece art show that accompanies The Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival going on in the Massachusetts Arts and Theatre District August 19-28th. The art show is up through August 31st and is on view daily from noon to 10 PM at night at 4 Star Gallery (653 Massachusetts Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana). There are thirteen area artists whose work was chosen for the show: Charlene Faris of Zionsville, coordinator; Sandra Smith Dorste (formerly of Zionsville), Marilyn Gatin, Ph.D., Chris Hodge, Nancy Kruse, Judith G. Levy, Liz Margason of Lebanon, Emma Overman, Quincy Owens, Garry Prosser, Jennifer K. Sutton, Shelley Savini, and Sojna Widmer.
