2002 Baseball Divisions/Age Information
Minor League - Ages 7 & 8
(Birth Dates between August 1, 1993 and July 31, 1995)
The Minor League is an instructional league following Little League Minor Baseball rules. It is
intended to introduce the players to the game of baseball and to help the players learn correct batting
and defensive techniques. The coaches do all pitching.All players play defense and all players in
attendance will bat. A pitching machine will be used in practice to help the players learn correct
batting and defensive techniques. Ten players will play defense and all players in attendance will bat.
Major B League - Ages 9 & 10
(Birth Dates between August 1, 1991 and July 31, 1993)
The Major B League will primarily consist of players who are 9 and 10 years old. The Major B League
is intended to promote baseball skills by following Little League Baseball Major rules with some minor
exceptions. Nine players play defense and all players in attendance will bat. There is limited stealing.
Major A League - Ages 11 & 12
(Birth Dates between August 1, 1989 and July 31, 1991)
The Major A League consists primarily of players who are ages 11 and 12 and follows Little League
Baseball Major rules. The Major A League is designed to be competitive and further encourage skill
development. Nine players are fielded defensively. Each player must play a minimum of six defensive
outs and have one at bat.
Junior League - Ages 13 & 14
(Birth Dates between August 1, 1987 and July 31, 1989)
Baseball players who are 13 or 14 years old will play in the Junior League. The league is designed to
offer the players the excitement of game by allowing stealing and utilizing a full size diamond.Each
player must participate for a minimum of six defensive outs and have one at bat. Inter-league games are
scheduled in the latter part of the season with other divisions such as Brownsberg and Pittsboro.
Senior League - Ages 15 & 16
(Birth Dates between August 1, 1985 and July 31, 1987)
The Senior League is played in a shortened season against other leagues.ZCHS players are eligible to
play in the league since the season begins at the end of school. The season ends before July 1.Inter-
league play will be against teams from other leagues possibly including Board Ripple Haverford, Eagle
Creek and Eagle Dale.
