2011 Showcase Baseball Evaluation Dates - Lions Park on Field 2

  • Thursday, July 22, 6-8 PM, 7 & 8 year olds
  • Friday, July 23, 6-8 PM, 9 & 10 year olds
  • Saturday, July 24, 10 AM - 12 noon, 11 & 12 & 13 year olds
  • Friday, July 30, 6-8 PM, 7 & 8 & 9 & 10 year olds
  • Saturday, July 31, 10 AM- 12 noon, 11 & 12 & 13 year olds

Players registered to play 2011 recreational ball plus Showcase should attend the evaluation dates provided. A baseball player's league age is the age on April 30. Two dates are provided for each age group. If there are attendance conflicts with the listed dates, a player can attend any other date although the evaluations will be set up for the age groups listed.

2011 Showcase Baseball

ZLL Showcase program teams for 2011 will be formed in July 2010 with additional skills opportunities available in the fall and winter. Registration for Showcase baseball runs July 12 thru July 31. Evaluations/ tryouts are scheduled for July 22, 23, 24, 30, and 31 at Lions Park (see times above). Showcase baseball is available for baseball players in Zionsville Little League, ages 7-13. Registration is $275 to cover 2011 rec league registration fees plus Showcase expense for uniforms (jersey/pants/hat/belt/socks), insurance, baseballs and umpires. Optional clinics and professional skills development will be available for additional fees. Information regarding 2011 Showcase softball will be released in the near future. A huge thanks to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant (9111 N. Michigan Road Indianapolis, IN 46268) for the 235 meals they served at Opening Day on April 17. Their hard word and delicious meals generated a great deal of money for ZLL. Please show your support for Texas Roadhouse by visiting their restaurant with your family.

Raffle Tickets from Bill Estes Chevrolet - Win a Home Theater System or Chevy Malibu

Zionsville Little League will have available 2000 raffle tickets selling at $5 each from Bill Estes Chevrolet. Sales start on Opening Day, April 17, at the ZLL concession stand and continue until all tickets are sold or until July 31, 2010. One local winner will win a home theater system, and all tickets will be entered into a national drawing for a new Chevy Malibu (the drawing for the Chevy Malibu will be in August).

Volunter Applications for 2010 Season

Adults serving as a ZLL volunteer must complete a Little League volunteer application (PDF 220K). This includes Managers (Head Coach), Assistant Coaches, Team Parents, Umpires. The information provided on the Little League Volunteer Application is used to complete the required background check using Choicepoint, a private and confidential screening service.

The volunteer application form can be completed electronically, saved and , ZLL Player Agent, or you may printed, completed and emailed to ZLL, PO Box 544, Zionsville, IN 46077. When saving a completed electronic copy, utilize 'Save As' and name the document with last name and first name (i.e. DoeJohn.) A photo identification must accompany the application. The photo id can be scanned and pasted to the .pdf form or provided by mail attached to the application.

Adults requesting to volunteer to be a Manager (Head Coach) of a ZLL team for the 2010 season must complete and provide an application by Sunday, January 24 for baseball/softball players age 9 through 12. For adults requesting to manage in the 6,7,8 divisions or 13 and older divisions the deadline is Sunday, February 21. It is necessary to receive this prior to the ZLL Board Meeting at 6:30 PM. In addition a Manager MOU (Memo of Understanding) must be completed, signed and mailed to ZLL, PO Box 544, Zionsville, IN 46077.
