The purpose of the Howard School restoration is to educate young people (4th-6th grades) about what a day of school was like in the 1800's. It will also serve at a building for special activities such as weddings, meetings, and tours.

Howard School will be a contemporary example of our past, our growth and direction for our future. As a living history museum, school children and other scholars will experience an authentic 19th century day in the schoolhouse with a schoolmaster, or "marm" using study material related to the time. The schoolhouse will also be a unique place for meetings and special occasions.
