"Tablescapes" to raise funds and awareness for domestic abuse victims

October 13, 14 at Ulen Country Club in Lebanon

"Setting the table" will take on creative new meaning when the Community Foundation of Boone County presents "Tablescapes", October 13,14 at Ulen Country Club in Lebanon to support the establishment of a Boone County women's shelter and to raise awareness of the problems created by domestic violence.

"Tablescapes" will feature a unique display of table settings at Ulen Country Club, created by 20 Boone County retailers and designers. Decorated tables will reflect businesses or themes in varied designs. The two-part event includes a Preview Party of the decorated tables from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 13. The following day, luncheon guests will gather at 10 a.m. to view silent auction and raffle gifts, tour the tablescapes, and hear Emmy award winner and former WRTV co-anchor Diane Willis speak. Participants will then have lunch at the decorated tables, and each guest will receive a gift valued at $20 from the table sponsor. Following lunch, awards will be presented for People's Choice, Most Creative, and Most Elegant Tablescapes.

Tickets for the Preview Party are $25, while lunch tickets are $100, of which $65 is tax deductible. Reservations can be made by calling the Community Foundation of Boone County, 765-482-0024 or 317-873-0210. Reservations deadline for the luncheon is October 3. Reservations for the preview party are preferred but not required.
