Holiday Stroll and Gift Fair at Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library

Saturday, December 6 & Sunday, December 7

How hard is it to see, hear and touch a Christmas Carol? Well, not hard when strolling through the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library during the annual Christmas Stroll. Under the banner of Carols of the Trees, the library will don a musical attitude Saturday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 7. Live musicians, strolling carolers and carol-themed Christmas trees, will provide the backdrop for a weekend of holiday entertainment and shopping.

Opening 30-minutes early Saturday at 9 a.m., the fun will begin immediately with self-directed tours of the library's 10 decorated Christmas trees; all depicting a beloved Christmas carol. The most observant visitors may even find the one tree that will sing a little song to them. Events will continue throughout the weekend and include free, drop-in holiday craft workshops, the ever popular Polar Express train shows, antique trolley rides and a Christmas show presented by the Melchior Marionettes.

In addition, families can begin their holiday shopping at the Friends of the Library Holiday Gift Fair, open throughout the Holiday Stroll weekend. Local artisans will be on-hand with a selection of their handcrafted gift items available for purchase.

Holiday Stroll hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6; 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7.
