Boone County Senior Services Fall Preventive Health Clinics

Boone County Senior Services, Inc., will conduct a free health screening clinic for senior citizens on

For Boone County residents over the age of 60, nurses will be present to do medical histories and blood pressure checks.

Boone County Health Department is providing flu and pneumonia shots for this clinic. Flu shots will be available for $20.00 and Pneumonia shots for $30.00. Medicare Part-B beneficiaries who present their cards at the clinic site will receive the shots at no charge. While flu shots will not fully protect everyone, a yearly flu vaccination can be 70% effective in preventing a healthy person from contracting the disease.

Prescription counseling will be available. Bring your medicines and any questions and a registered pharmacist will discuss your prescription and over-the-counter drugs. Volunteers will also be available to answer questions about Medicare Part D.
