- Alzheimer's Support Group - Provides information and support to person's and cargivers living with Alzheimer's and demenita-related diseases. Meets third Wednesday of each month at 11:30 am at the Beck Community Room at Witham Memorial Hospital (2605 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon). Co-sponsored by Witham Health Services and the Alzheimers Association.
- American Legion, Nicely-Brindel Post 201, Advance, Robert E. Hill, Commander - meets every first Tuesday of the month at 7 pm at Hill's Family Mart, 103 North Main Street in Advance. All legion members are welcome!
- Arc Rehab Services Board of Directors - meet the third Monday of every month (with the exception of July and November) at 12 noon at 900 W. Main St., Lebanon.
- Boone County Cardiac Support Group - Meets the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Meetings are held in the dining room at Witham Memorial Hospital. Meetings are free and open to the public. For more information, please call 765-485-8112.
- Business Network International - Lebanon Chapter - meets every Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the Comfort Inn in Lebanon. BNI is a networking group made up of local businesses set-up to exchange referrals. - Boone County Amateur Radio Club - meets the first Thursday of every month at the Lebanon Ponderosa on St. Rd. 32 & I-65. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Our club net is on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. on 147.105+ Mhz., the ARES net is at 9:00 p.m. on Mondays on 147.105+ Mhz., and the YL net is on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. also on the 147.105+ Mhz. repeater. - Boone County Community Health Clinic, Affiliated with Witham Health Services - Located at the Boone County Health Department, 116 West Washington Street, Suite B202, Lebanon. The mission of the Boone County Community Clinic is to provide primary health care to Boone County residents who have limited access to health care due to the lack of financial resources or health insurance. - Community Farmers' Market Saturday Morning On the Lawn at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans. - Fourth Zionsville Chess Club Tournament at Ramada Inn in Lebanon (505 South State Road 39).
- DNA LifePrint - FREE Child Safety Program at Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge (4505 W. 96th Street, Indianapolis) from 10 am to 2 pm. DNA LifePrint is a safety program is designed to promote awareness and education for parents and children in an effort to protect children against violence. The DNA sample is taken by swabbing the inside of the cheek of each child. After each child goes through the line, the parents are handed the DNA sample. The only record of the visit is handed to the parent: the sponsor keeps no records on file. The parents are then given John Walsh's Child Safety Tips and information on the DNA sample to take home with them. For more information, contact

- Daybreak an 8 week class for single moms and their children offered by New Hope Christian Church Women's Ministry. Classes will be Wednesday evenings beginning September 15, 2004 from 6pm-8:30pm. This is your time to be pampered with a nice dinner, fellowship with other single moms followed by an evening of topics such as budgeting, stretching a dollar, solo parenting, discipline, time management, understanding your personality, color analysis, make-over techniques, setting goals & even more! While the moms are enjoying their evening, the children will be fed and nurtured by a caring staff of volunteers being taught Christian values in a fun environment using stories, games, music and videos. Class size is limited, so CALL NOW (317-769-3647) to get registered.

You would be guides and explorers who meet with other parents. You would host (or go to someone else's house) for meetings. But the meetings would be fun...would have ceremonies and snacks and play games. You'd also get to go on adventures in the community. And, oh yeah, camping is part of the program. Maybe you and your child can become friends forever.

Senior Services van will leave the Lebanon Public Library at 8:30 AM and return by 3:00 PM. Seniors (age 60+)$5.00, all other adults $8.00.
