- Autism/Asperger’s Family Support Group - meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm at Centenary Methodist Church (910 Fordice Road, Lebanon). This meeting is open to family members, caregivers, and educators of children with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. For more information, please contact

- Community Bingo the 4th Tuesday of each month at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome. Refreshments and prizes for all. Games begin at 2:30 pm.

- Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans. - Youth Enhancement and Training Initiative, Inc. (YETI) Winetasting Event at 6:30 pm. Meet Bharat Devkota. Bharat is organizing the local guides, reservations and activities for the two planned Ambassadors for Children trips to Nepal in July and August 2007. He is a native of Nepal and spent several years working on the ground in Nepal with RCDP and the YETI Orphanage, which the tour will visit. Take this opportunity to meet him and ask questions about the trip, about Nepal and about YETI. Representatives of YETI and AFC will also be available to answer questions at the event. The event will also include a mini-winetasting with several wines to sample and a short wine presentation by a wine expert from Thomas Family Winery, as well as light food. The event will be held on the first floor of the new world headquarters of Simon Property Group on Washington Street in Downtown Indianapolis (directly across from the State House, around 200 West Washington Street). $20/person. The program this month will be attorney Dave Truitt speaking about his father's WW ll experiences.. He will also have some memorabilia with him. - Culture at the Creek from 6 - 9 pm at Sugar Creek Art Center. Meet resident artist Gerburg Garmann (whose art will be featured in the main gallery through July 28) and many of Sugar Creek Art Center's resident artists. This monthly event celebrates rotating art exhibitions and the Art Center's resident artists with festivity, refreshments, and live music in the main gallery.

- Tools of the Midwest hosted by the Lebanon Public Library from 10 am - noon in the Ralph Stark Heritage Center. An array of tools including farm tools, hand tools, rare and antique tools will be on display. Members of the Midwest Tool Association will be available to provide information on tools, tool collecting and to answer questions for tool collectors. - Annual Fishing Derby sponsored by the Lebanon Kiwanis Club & Lebanon Parks Department at the Hot Pond in Lebanon. Registration begins at 8am. Children ages 6-17 are invited to attend the 14th Annual Fishing Derby for fishing, food & fun! Awards will be given at the end of the tournament. Parents must accompany children to this event. Please bring your own fishing pole. (Poles will not be provided.) This is a FREE event.

- Big Springs Community Church rummage and bake sale and car wash from 9am to 3pm at the Country Market on SR 421, south of the SR 32 and SR 421 intersection about 2 miles. The sale will benefit children in Cameroon, Africa, who are in need of funds to finish their school and orphanage. Victor and Claudine Chamberlin, the directors of the orphanage and school, have been missionaries in Cameroon for the past 10 years, and the orphanage is their most recent endeavor. Items for sale will include baked goods, furniture, clothing (all ages), household items, and childrens toys and the car wash will be on a donation basis. All proceeds will go to the orphanage and school.
- Jazz by Twilight BBQ Dinner and Concert at St. Francis Episcopal Church (1525 Mulberry Street, Zionsville, IN 46077). Food will be served at 6:30. Music will continue from 7:30-9 pm. Enjoy soft jazz under the starts along with terrific food at Jazz by Twilight. Tickets for the dinner & concert are $15 for adults and $7.50 for kids under 12. Tickets for the concert only are $5. - A free Fitness Boot Camp class at 6:30pm in the Lebanon Sports & Fitness Gym (327 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon). To register for the free class call 482-6992. If you like the class, sign up for the 1st Annual Fitness Boot Camp from June 26-Aug 4. This six week course is designed to take your fitness to the next level. This is the motivation you have been waiting for! This class meets both indoors and outdoors! Classes meet on Tuesdays at 5:30-6:45am, Thursdays at 6:30-7:45pm, Saturdays at 8:00-9:15am. - Tat’s Catz Concert - part of The Sugar Creek Historical Society's fourth Backyard Music Series at 6:30 pm at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 W Main St., Thorntown, IN). The Backyard Music Series is open to the public and is supported through the donations from those attending. The public is encouraged to bring their friends, sturdy lawn chairs, insect repellant, and well-mannered dogs to celebrate the Summer Solstice in style. The event begins at 6:30 pm with beverages, refreshments, and Gun Dog Ranch dog treats available for sale. Tables (4’ x 2’) are available for $5 each for picnics and group participation. - Third Annual Affordable Flying Day from 9 am to 6 pm at the Boone County Airport (1600 E CR 250 S, Lebanon, IN 46052) sponsored by the Boone County Airport Association. Free family fun! Learn about learning to flyhomebuilts, ultralights, restorations, sport pilot, flying clubs, altternative right and more! Young Eagles rides (free airplane rides for youths ages 8-17; signed parental permission form is mandatory) from 9 to 11 am, radio controlled model demonstrations at noon, food and refreshments from noon to 2 pm, adult rides from 2 to 5 pm.

- Lebanon Educational Foundation Firecracker Classic 3 on 3 Tournament at the Memorial Park in Lebanon. Go to www.firecrackerclassic.org for more information and a registration form. The cost is $100 per team and includes a Firecracker t-shirt for each team member. Registration deadline is June 15, 2007 and court assignments will be posted on the Firecracker 3x3 Classic website on June 20th. Boone REMC is the MVP sponsor once again in 2007!

- Adult Co-Ed Sand Volleyball Tournament - as part if the 4th of July activities, the Boone County Family YMCA is offering an Adult Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tournament. The tournament will be held on the sand courts in Lebanon Memorial Park. On-site team check-in will begin at 3:30 p.m. Teams should register prior to the event for proper bracketing. This is a recreational, double elimination; call your own infractions, four on four volleyball tournament. A championship game will determine the overall tournament winner. There will be rally scoring and teams must be split evenly co-ed. Teams should be made of adults age 18 and older. Get your team together and call the YMCA at 765-482-5960, or stop by our office at 1025 N Jameson Street. Fee for this event is $45 per team.
