- Zionsville Lions Club Free Sunday Concert Series in July "A Yankee Doodle Celebration" at 7 pm at Lions Park in Zionsville. Part of the "There's No Business Like Show Business" series. The Zionsville Concert Band, directed by John Richardson, will perform. Guest soloists will be guitarists David Thompson and Tom McKamey. Food and drinks offered for a donation to Lions Park. - July 4th Celebration at Lions Park in Zionsville. Larger than ever before with fireworks, live concert, and family fun activities for all ages! The fireworksstart at dusk, around 10 pm, but come early to get good seats — activities start at 5 pm. The Lions Club will have a Kids Corner with moonwalks, face painting, clowns, mascots and more. In addition there are the traditional activities with Boys and Girls Club of Zionsville like watermelon eating, three legged races, water balloon toss contests, and much more. Prizes for the winners. The Marlins will play in the gazebo at Lions Park starting at 6 pm until dusk entertaining the crowds with music from all decades and an awesome patriotic tribute. The newly crowned Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana Outstanding Teen will perform their talent and have an autograph signing. Up close parking can be had for a small donation of $5—which goes to maintenance of Lions Park. Lions Park is located just off State Road 334 on your way into downtown Zionsville at 115 S Elm Street. - 22nd annual Ice Cream Social on the Circle sponsored by the American Dairy Association of Indiana from 11am to 2pm on the SE Quadrant of Monument Circle, Downtown Indianapolis. Ice cream lovers will treat their taste buds to chocolate, strawberry, caramel and butterscotch sundaes, decked out with numerous toppings. Sundaes will be prepared by local celebrity scoopers including area media, sports and business notables. - Mythology Rocks! Theatre Camp for Kids Entering Grades 5-9 from 9 am - 3 pm presented by Off-Main Street Players in the Zionsville Town Hall Community Room (1100 W. Oak Street Zionsville, IN 46077). Everyone plays a part during this intensive, weeklong day camp where participants will collaborate to stage, rehearse, and present theatrical scenes inspired by stories from classic Greek mythology - presented along with classic rock music - in a performance for family and friends at the end of each camp week.
