- 29th annual Gardenfest hosted by the Boone County Master Gardeners from 9 am to 3 pm at the Boone County 4-H Fairgrounds in Lebanon. FREE! Over 15 garden-related vendors will sell unique garden art, gifts, flowers, herbs, succulents and other garden items. Gardenfest highlights include a used tool and garden item sale, free soil testing, door prizes throughout the day and expert speakers. Speakers include Constance Campbell Ferry on “Herbs of the Wildlands, Woodlands and the Gardens”, Linda Kimmel on “Why Grow Hybrid Rugosa Roses?” and Jeff Dittmore on “Honey Bees and Pollinating Plants”. Children’s activities, free Q & A, and lunch and homemade desserts will also be available. Free native tree seedlings will be given to the first 400 attendees. - Boone County Senior Services, Inc. (BCSSI) Theater Thursday, Heaven is For Real, at 9:30 a.m. (preceded by the breakfast snack at 9 a.m.) at the Lebanon 7 Theater (1600 N. Lebanon Street) just for those individuals 60 and over. The cost for this activity is $1/person and includes a breakfast snack, along with the movie. Theater Thursdays will continue through October of this year, and is sponsored by Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation, Excel Home Healthcare and Guardian Angel Hospice. - The Friends of Boone County Trails 5K Walk/Run at 4 pm in Thorntown. Cost is $20, ad the proceeds will be used to help maintain in mowing, weed control, surface repair and enhancements where possible. There will be food, and entertainment, the Hunter Hill Band. - The United Way of Central Indiana will host the Annual Boone County Celebration Breakfast at the Herman B. Wells Community Center at Lebanon High School. Breakfast will begin a 7:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 8 a.m. Julia Moffitt, Boone County native and WTHR Eyewitness News Anchor, will be the keynote speaker. - Love In the Name of Christ of Boone County presents:
Comedy for a Cause from 7-8:30pm at Lebanon Christian Church (610 W. 250 North, Lebanon). The event is a family-friendly evening featuring improv comedy from ComedySportz!
Coffee, hot chocolate and tea along with lots of yummy desserts will be served.
The cost is $10 for adults; $5 per children 5-12 years.

- Boone County Historical Society presents Legends of Boone County Basketball at 4 pm at Memory Hall in Lebanon. Current and former players of Western Boone and Lebanon High Schools will play for the Legends Trophy. After the game, everyone is welcome to stay for a 60s sock hop featuring The Norwoods, a retro band from Indianapolis that will play rock hits from the 1960s. Cost is $10. All proceeds benefit the Boone County Historical Society Cragun House maintenance.Lebanon’s Pixie Playhouse will provide half-time entertainment and food and drink will be available.
