Photos from the July 9, 1997, Fire in Lebanon




On the Wednesday, July 9, 1997, five historic buildings on the southeast side of the square in Lebanon were damaged by fire. Fortunately, no one was injured in the blaze. Four of the buildings were occupied by Pizza by George, the Craft Gallery, Barbara's Delicatessen and Bakery, and Kincaid's Karate 1. The fifth building was vacant at the time of the fire.

Photographs were taken by Major Tom Garoffolo, Assistant Chief of Police, Lebanon Police Department.
