It started snowing Friday night, January 1st, and by Saturday morning, Boone County residents were being warned to stay inside and off the roads. A snow emergency was in effect in Boone County and many other parts of the State for Saturday, and I-65 was closed from Zionsville to Chicago. Snow fall estimates varied from 8-12 inches with large drifts in many areas of the county.
Members of the System Response Team were called upon to help during the snow. The SRT V150 made medication runs into the county areas where no other vehicle could go.
