Minutes Of The Lebanon Public Library Board Of Trustees
June 25, 2001
The Lebanon Public Library Board of Trustees met in regular session on Monday, June 25, 2001 at 4:30 p.m. in the meeting room. Ruth Lucas, Sharon Wood and Todd Meyer were not present. All other board members were present. Donna Boone sat in for Kay Martin, Director, who was on her Laura Ingles Wilder class trip. Laurie Goodenow was present from the Reporter.
The April meeting minutes were read. As Ruth Lucas is recovering from cataract surgery there was no treasurerís report. Claims were passed around and approved unanimously.
Ron Morelock announced that Representative Jeff Thompson would be replacing our Representative Jerry Torr. Ron will set a time for Rep Thompson to visit in the fall.
The board made several positive comments concerning the activities included in the department reports.
Kay Martinís Directorís report was read. Everyone thought it was great that Kay had the opportunity to participate in the Laura Ingles Wilder class. It will be an asset to the Library and community.
As for the building, the final verdict will take place around October 23-24th. There is always a chance that it may be appealed if the owner is not satisfied with it. The last tenant is being encouraged to settle.
Huck was praised for all of the work he is doing towards engineering firms to assess what we have to work with and what would be feasible.
A thank you letter was read from Anna Mae Hartsock for filtering the Internet on the Childrenís computers.
The Library received a check for $8,402.43 from the Trotter Farm estate. The buyer did not exercise their option to buy.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2001 at 4:30 in the library meeting room. If needed, Jane may call a special meeting on Monday, July 23, 2001.
