Minutes of the Lebanon Public Library Board of Trustees
September 19, 2002
Jane Myers, Huck Lewis, Linda Jones, Ruth Lucas, Sharon Wood and Marsha Truitt were present. Ron arrived at 4:45. Todd Meyer, the Library Attorney, was present.
Daniel Sulkoske of the Kramer Corporation was present. Laura Hawkins represented the Lebanon Reporter. Tonya Thayer represented the Citizens Group. Scott Wood represented Odle, McGuire and Shook.
The budget hearing was held on September 9, 2002. Ruth made the motion and Marsha gave the second to certify resolution of the budget.
Marcy is leaving to go to work at the Crawfordsville Library. A reception will be held for her on Thursday, September 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Tech Services.
Kay reported that she had sent a sample of everything from the Kenworthy summer reading program to the Kenworthy family. She shared their nice note of appreciation with the Library Board.
Under Old Business, information was shared on the last visits to Noblesville and IUPUI libraries. A discussion was then held to talk about the architectural firms for the feasibility study. After discussion, a motion was made by Huck and the second given by Ruth to hire the firm of Odle, McGuire and Shook to conduct the feasibility study at a fee of $5,000. Sharon Wood abstained from the vote.
Daniel Sulkoske spoke about the Kramer Corporation and what his firm would be able to offer the library.
Marsha made the motion to approve the claims and Linda gave the second.
The next Library Board meeting will be Monday, October 28, at 4:00 p.m. This is a change from the regular meeting date.
