President Jane Myers called the meeting to order. Members present were David Koehler, Huck Lewis, Linda Jones, Sharon Wood and Marsha Truitt. Ruth Lucas was absent, recovering from a stroke. Also attending were David Truitt, Library Attorney, Dick Robertson, Guest, Scott Wood, OMS, and Kevin Thompkins, Lebanon Reporter. Donna Boone sat in for Kay Martin, who was absent due to a family illness.
The Secretary’s Report for September was approved; Huck made the motion and David K. gave the second. There was no quorum at the October meeting date.
David Koehler gave the Treasurer’s Report. He told us that our tax rate is below 13 cents.
Claims for September/October were approved. Marsha made the motion and Sharon gave the second.
Huck Lewis said we are looking at options at this time.
For the 100th Birthday Celebrations we are looking at a brick paver fund raiser.
Huck made the motion and Marsha gave the second to approve $7,204.46 for CompuTrain training and the purchase of three modules.
Bids were opened for a new automation system. (See chart for information regarding prices). Huck made the motion and Linda gave the second to take the bid package under advisement.
Linda and Huck were appointed as the nominating committee.
The next Board meeting will be Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 4:00 p.m.
David K. moved to adjourn and Linda gave the second.
