MARCH 16, 2005

President Jane Myers called the meeting to order.  Members attending were David Koehler, Linda Jones, Kandi Caldwell, Jon Nixon, and Marsha Truitt.  Sharon Wood arrived late and left early.  Others attending were Kay Martin, Director, Donna Boone and Glenna Lenox, staff, David Truitt, Library Attorney, Jack Belcher, Perry Township Trustee, Rob Guest, Worth Township Trustee, Carl and Molly Riggs, Center Township Trustee, Huck Lewis, Commissioner, and Dan Sulkoske, Kramer Inc.

Under correspondence, the Library received two notes and donations in memory of Ruth Lucas, former Board Member and Treasurer.  A note of appreciation was received from the Ruth Joseph family (Donna Boone’s mother).

The Secretary’s report for February was shared.  Linda Jones made the motion and Jon Nixon gave the second to approve the minutes as corrected.

David Koehler shared the Treasurer’s report.  This year the tax levee is $10.49.  Last year it was $10.99, so this has gone down.  Linda Jones made the motion to pay the claims and Kandi Caldwell gave the second.

Dan Sulkoske reported that the steel is going up and that the waterproofing is on the walls.

Craig Anderson, representing the Anson Project, gave a presentation about the project.  There is land set aside for a library, but right now the land is in Eagle Township, which is part of the Zionsville taxing area.

Jack Belcher and Rob Guest indicated that people in their townships are satisfied with purchasing a Library card, as opposed to paying taxes into the Library, at this time.

Kay told us that she has applied for a Spanish Grant and a Wireless Grant.

The date of the May meeting has been changed to May 18, 2005 at 4:30 p.m.

The next meeting will be April 27, 2005 at 4:30 p.m.
